I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from the University of Kentucky. After graduating from the master’s program in 1988, I completed the basic and extensive three year training in Psychosynthesis from the Kentucky Center of Psychosynthesis.

I have also received training in Mindfulness, Gestalt Psychotherapy, and Hypnosis.  I am a certified EMDR therapist and have had extensive advanced trainings in EMDR  . I have completed PEAT (Prime Energy Activation and Transcendence) Processing and am also a PEAT trainer. I have also attended numerous workshops throughout the years with some of the noted experts in the field of trauma and dissociation.

I have worked as a psychotherapist since 1988 and was licensed for independent practice in 1991. Twenty five years of my career has been at the Bluegrass Rape Crisis Center providing therapy to adult survivors of childhood sexual, physical and emotional abuse as well as survivors of adult sexual violence.  I retired from BRCC in November 2015.  I am skilled in individual as well as group therapy. I have also provided supervision to numerous clinicians working toward licensure.
